Very good course on brand and what Rotary should do.
Is it not time Rotary step back and look at our logo? No one today even knows what a cog wheel is. Rotary's brand is very out of date. We should start with a new logo.
Rotary also has to stop trying to do everything. We should do a few things well like PolioPlus rather than try to do everything mediocre.
This sounds good ! Our son is just wrestling with "BRAND" for our company website & having trouble dragging us along in the 21st century. To me a logo or a motto would seem to be a "BRAND" but apparently not !

A Comment about the course--If we are lucky enough to have many more online courses like this with increasing participation at every turn, then we will catch the vision of what Zone 22 online training is really all about....thanks.
Monty, many thanks for your comment. Although the brand essence - World Fellowship through Service above Self, seems to put fellowship first, it is really an effort to show how entwined they are - fellowship and service. Our goal is to live service above self, and we do it by living the concept of fellowship, in our meetings, our projects, indeed the family of Rotary. We are certainly not about one or the other alone and you clearly agree. Brand essences are really hard to write - in a few words they need to capture a whole concept and inspire at the same time. For example, I have heard the Four Seasons Hotel chain had a brand essence: Ladies and Gentlemen serving Ladies and Gentlemen. It says an awful lot in a few words. Virgin's brand essence is: Iconoclast (rule breaker). What and who are we really? Tough to write.
Nancy, thank you for this course. I found it very worthwhile and would like to present it to our club. However, we do not have internet access at our club location. Is it possible to purchase a copy on CD?
